    Swim Gala Night 2007

A big thank you to the 70 people who supported our Swim Gala night at the King Alfred Leisure Centre on Saturday 29 September.

Among the 14 swimmers was 93 year old James Clark who swam an amazing 500 metres! Also participating again this year was Phil Whitaker who reached a staggering total of 286 lengths - that's about 4.5 miles!

Thanks also go to Starbucks who generously provided coffee and muffins for our hungry swimmers and spectators.

Event organiser Angela King said, ‘It was a great family night with lots of fun. We're delighted that all the funds raised will help disadvantaged people in Brighton and Hove.'

Look out for our another swim challenge next year!
